VIEWIDX Version 1.1
View all the entries in a PCBoard V14.5 File Area Index. Displays the
file number, file name, and the path in which the file can be found.
To use type:
VIEWIDX indexname.IDX
Where indexfile.IDX is the name of the index file to display. The .IDX
file extension must be specified, it is not optional.
=========================================================================
FINDIDX Version 1.1
Find a file in a PCBoard V14.5 File Area Index. Displays the file
number, file name, and the path in which the file can be found.
To use type:
FINDIDX findfile.ext indexname.IDX
Where findfile.ext is the name and extension of the file to find. DO
NOT specify drives or subdirectories, FINDIDX will only search for
filenames, not paths or drives. And indexfile.IDX is the name of the
index file to search. The .IDX file extension must be specified, it is
not optional.
=========================================================================
DELIDX Version 1.1
Delete file(s) from a PCBoard V14.5 File Area Index. This program is
especially handy for removing files, from an index, that may be corrupt
on a CD-ROM.
To use type:
DELIDX [@]delfile.ext indexname.IDX
Where delfile.ext is the name of the file to be deleted, or if prefixed
with the @ character an ASCII file (CR/LF delimited) containing the
names of the files to be deleted. DO NOT specify drives or
subdirectories, DELIDX will only search for filenames, not paths or
drives. And indexfile.IDX is the name of the index file to delete the
specified file(s) from. The indexfile.IDX will be packed upon
completion of the operation(s). The .IDX file extension must be specified,
it is not optional.
Make backups before using this utility. If an error occurs during
the program run, the IDX file may have some deleted entries. At this
point I don't know how PCBoard will react to these delted entries,
therefore it is suggested that if an error occurs when running this
program that you restore the file from the backup.
